The practical advantage is that it is one building. Nobody is walking between cabins in the rain to find the group dinner. The tradeoff is location: the operator currently places it roughly 25 minutes from Old Man's Cave, so it makes the most sense for groups that expect the lodge itself to be part of the vacation.
Best for: multi-family groups that want weather-proof entertainment and one-house logistics.
Southern Belle Lodge — sleeps 20
Southern Belle is a seven-bedroom, six-bath lodge currently listed less than two miles from Old Man's Cave. Its strongest combination is location plus infrastructure: indoor heated pool, hot tub, game/entertainment space, 20-person dining room and indoor/outdoor fireplaces.
It is also currently pet-friendly, with an operator-published two-pet maximum and fee. That matters for reunions because pet restrictions can eliminate a property late in the planning process.
MeadowLark Lodge — sleeps 20
MeadowLark is a 3,000-square-foot group lodge positioned close to the practical side of the region. The operator currently describes it as within ten minutes of Hocking Hills State Park and Lake Logan, while also being about three miles from Walmart, Kroger, restaurants and a winery.
Its amenities include a private seven-person hot tub and a game room with shuffleboard, foosball and arcade games. This is an underrated large-group advantage: somebody can make a grocery run without turning it into a 45-minute rural-road expedition.
Best for: groups that want Hocking Hills access but expect to use Logan services frequently.
Eagle Star Lodge — sleeps 20
Eagle Star is another 20-person option, currently listing a hot tub, pond, game room, volleyball court and seasonal pool. Its published location is about a seven-minute drive from Logan.
The seasonal pool is listed as open May 1 through October 31, so winter groups should value the indoor spaces, hot tub and game room rather than booking on the assumption that the pool is year-round.
Maker's Lodge — sleeps 24
Maker's Lodge at Bourbon Ridge is a very different kind of group stay: seven bedrooms and 4.5 baths on a 202-acre estate, with a gourmet kitchen, tiered home theater, game room, seasonal heated swimming pool and a 16-person in-ground hot tub.
Read the occupancy policy carefully. Bourbon Ridge's FAQ says Maker's Lodge accommodates 24 guests but only 16 if all guests are adults. That is a perfect example of why the headline capacity cannot be copied into a group spreadsheet without reading the rules.
The Western Lodge — sleeps 30
The Western Lodge offers ten private bedrooms, 5.5 baths and more than 8,000 square feet. Its centerpiece is a 16-by-39-foot heated indoor saltwater pool that operates year-round, plus two large hot tubs and a 30-seat dining room.
For a 30-person family reunion, the 30-seat dining room is nearly as important as the pool. It means “everyone together” is physically possible rather than marketing copy.
Timberframe Lodge — sleeps 30
Timberframe takes a more modular approach. Current booking information says it sleeps 30 in beds and includes private suites with their own kitchens, living rooms, laundry rooms and balconies in addition to the main lodge.
That arrangement can be excellent for multi-generation families. Grandparents or families with infants can retreat to a separate suite while still being part of the same group property.
The main kitchen is unusually serious, with a professional range, large refrigerator/freezer and a 16-foot seated island. For groups that cook rather than cater, this is the kind of spec that actually changes the stay.
Sunset View Lodge — sleeps 39
Sunset View is the biggest verified single-lodge option in this batch. The current operator page lists up to 39 guests, 11 private bedrooms, nine full baths plus a half bath, a heated indoor saltwater pool, two hot tubs, game room and a conference room that seats roughly 48–50.
The main floor is described as wheelchair-accessible, including a bedroom and full bathroom. That can be a decisive factor for reunions spanning several generations.

- How many adults can sleep in actual bedrooms? Separate adult maximums from total family capacity.
- How many full bathrooms? A 30-person lodge with five baths feels different from one with nine.
- Can everyone eat together? Ask for dining-seat count, not “large dining area.”
- Can the kitchen handle the group? Look for double refrigerators, dishwashers, ovens and large cookware.
- What is the driveway like in January? A lodge that sleeps 30 may also require multiple AWD/4WD vehicles.
